Instructions for Presenting
Please refer to the attached letter for your abstract (poster) number and the assigned poster session. A poster board with the assigned abstract number located at the top of the board will be provided.
Investigators-In-Training: One poster per Investigator-in-training will be discussed with two senior investigators (Poster Discussants) during the allocated 1.5 hour session. The discussants will identify themselves as such. When the poster discussants arrive, it is expected that the presenting author briefly summarize their work (2-4 minutes). Subsequently, the senior investigators will discuss the work with you. They will also score your poster using a number of criteria including the originality, amount, quality and significance of the work as well as the clarity of the presentation and poster itself and your ability to discuss your work with them. Therefore, it is critical that the presenting author is at his/her poster during the 1.5 hour poster session. New Investigators not present at their poster will not be eligible for a poster award.
All other presenters: If you must be absent from your poster for any length of time, please leave a note letting poster viewers know when you will return.
The Society will check the attendance of the presenting author.
Mounting and Dismantling Posters
Each poster participant will be responsible for putting up and taking down his/her poster during the allotted time. The Exhibit Hall will be locked at the end of the dismantle time and no one will be admitted until the next setup time. The Society for Reproductive Investigation and the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek will not be responsible for posters left in the exhibit hall after the dismantle time of your poster session.

Poster Design
The poster board area is 4' high by 8' long; landscape orientation. The top of the poster space should be covered by a lightweight sign indicating the title, author(s), and institution(s). The lettering for this section should be at least one inch in height.
Because your illustrations will be read from a distance of 3 to 5 feet, heavy lettering of at least 3/8" in height is recommended. Charts, drawings, and other illustrations might be similar to those you would otherwise use in preparing slides but should be more heavily drawn and appropriately shaded where possible. Large-sized type should be used for typewritten material. A typed copy of the abstract (using a large font) should be placed in the upper left-hand corner of the board. Hand-lettered material is acceptable, but heavy lettering and shaded block letters should be used wherever possible. Finally, the illustrative material should not be mounted on heavy board because it may be difficult to keep its position on the poster board.
A clear statement regarding the rationale and/or specific aims of the study should be stated and followed by an adequate description of the materials and methods. The results should be presented in several tables and/or graphs and should support the rationale for the study and the conclusions. It is very helpful to have a succinct conclusion.
