Development Committee
Purpose
The Development Committee is involved in/promotes initiatives related to fundraising, development, sponsorship, external grant funding and related external/corporate funding. The Development Committee will assist in developing relationships that benefit SRI and its members, in order to promote meaningful relationships and bring in additional funding to SRI via sponsorships and external education grants, as well as individual/planned giving.

Composition and Appointment
In addition to the Chair, the ideal size for this committee would be 7-10 members. Most of the work of the Development Committee is conducted via email/phone, with bi-monthly virtual conference calls throughout the year. The committee may also meet in-person at the Annual Meeting.
Responsibilities
- Participate in group discussions and communicate via email as needed to inform discussions and complete committee tasks
- Collaborate with the SRI Program Committee to find appropriate supporters for the Mini Symposia and lunches as necessary at the Annual Meeting
- Develop recommendations for programs and strategies aimed at supporting younger generations
