Membership and Nominations Committee

membership and nominations committee

Purpose

The purpose of this committee is primarily to review membership applications and develop strategies for membership retention/longevity and overall growth of SRI. This committee will ensure that applicants meet the requirements needed for their desired member type, with each membership application being assigned to a minimum of two reviewers. The Membership and Nominations committee will encourage diversity, equity and inclusion across SRI membership by promotion/offering membership discounts to those currently living or working in a developing economy. Additionally, this committee is in charge of collecting nominations for President, Council, Secretary-Treasurer, and Vice President for Diversity and Structural Change. The committee gathers to review all eligible nominees and their Willingness to Serve forms, determines a slate and submits to Council for approval, followed by a voting process by SRI members.
