Reproductive Sciences Call for Papers - Advances in Perinatology through Emerging Technologies
Reproductive Sciences is pleased to announce an upcoming special issue, “Advances in Perinatology through Emerging Technologies” which they are currently seeking submissions for! The journal publishes original peer-reviewed research and reviews, making it one of the most highly ranked and cited publications in obstetrics and gynecology. It is the official journal of Society for Reproductive Investigation and has a 2020 Impact Factor of 3.060.

Aims & Scope
The highly complex human reproductive system is not highly conserved and, therefore, ultimately requires the study of humans as opposed to utilising animal models. However, advances in understanding the field of human perinatology are limited by access to tissue and challenges in carrying out mechanistic studies with robust ex vivo model systems. Recent developments in investigative technologies have greatly enhanced the pace of understanding conception, pregnancy, fetal and neonatal development along with adverse outcomes. The technological advancement of blood biopsy, single cell analysis, 3D cultures, and organ-on-a-chip has catapulted the field of perinatal and reproductive biology in recent years. The application of these approaches advances our understanding of the remarkable, complex, and dynamic changes in human maternal and fetal biology as well as the underlying pathophysiology of pregnancy, fetal and neonatal complications. The aim of this special issue is to provide a reference for the current technologies and approaches for perinatal research and the many new insights that these approaches have shed on human conception, pregnancy, fetal and neonatal health and disease
