Mini-Symposium Proposal Submission for the 2026 SRI Annual Scientific Meeting is now open.

The symposia mission is to provide an international forum for scientific exchange, highlighting cutting edge topics in basic, translational, and clinical research in reproductive science that reflect the collective depth and breadth of scientific endeavor within SRI.

Preference will be given to the proposals relevant to the meeting theme, Regeneration & Renewal in Reproduction.

When considering speakers, SRI encourages diversity in all aspects including, but not limited to gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, social/economic background, country of origin or working environment, and physical ability.

GUIDELINES:

  • Each symposium will be two hours in duration (four 30-minute speakers, including presentation and Q&A)
  • Total of four speakers, with one potentially serving as a moderator of the symposium, if they have not served in this capacity in the past three years
  • When suggesting speakers, please consider appropriate representation of gender, geographical spread, stage of career and EDI.  Speakers must not be at the same institution.
  • For budgetary reasons, we allow a maximum of 2 non-members per submission. If you are unsure if someone is a member, please contact info@sri-online.org.
  • In addition, suggested speakers should not have given an oral presentation in a Mini-Symposium at the SRI annual meeting within the past 3 years. Agendas for the last 3+ meetings can be found below:

To encourage more membership involvement, we are offering two types of submissions. You may propose either 1) a Mini-Symposium Topic/Title alone, or 2) a developed Mini-Symposium proposal.

Please be prepared to provide the following for your mini-symposium proposal submission:

  • Name and contact information of person proposing the Mini-Symposium
  • A description of the symposium that will allow the Program Committee to understand the content, scope and objectives. This will include:
    • Full name, title, and contact information for each speaker
    • Suggestions for 2 Moderators (see above guidelines)
    • While you may confirm that your proposed speakers are willing to participate if selected, please also share with them that the final speaker selection will be determined by the Program Committee to ensure a balanced program.
    • No more than 2 Non-members; Preferably 3 Members, 1 Non-member
    • Balance of speakers from North America vs other continents.
    • Speakers must represent diverse institutions, geographic areas.
    • Recently published quality peer reviewed papers by the proposed speakers

Submission of a proposal indicates agreement to the following:

  • Should the symposium be accepted, the SRI Program Committee reserves the right to modify the proposed topic, title, proposed moderators and proposed speakers. This is to assure a balanced and diverse program.
  • SRI is a small organization of dedicated colleagues, and we regret that we are unable to offer any speaker honoraria.
